Today was our first visit to the Sunrise Senior Home to read poetry to the residents! While we were a bit nervous, all of the residents were so welcoming and interested in the poetry. We met Barb, who made hilarious comments throughout the entire reading. One of the residents, Ruth, mentioned that she’d memorized “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe some years ago, and recited part of the beginning! Overall, it was such a wonderful experience and we’re so excited to see these residents again!
