Today we started our summer program for young refugee girls at ICNA Relief, a center that helps refugees in the Chicagoland area. Our program involves an art project and writing classes, which I lead. We read a classic short story that I remember reading in elementary school: “The Lady and the Tiger.” The girls had so much to talk about, and I can’t wait to meet with them for the rest of the summer!
