The girls had asked for another story with a Muslim girl in it, like the one we read a couple classes ago, so I delivered! I knew they loved fantasy stories, so we read a hilarious story about a Muslim girl and her djinn companions. After we wrote, one of the girls wanted to share her writing, and she told us she was doing a Harry Potter rewrite!
